A little while back we went through an avalance of children's birthday parties to attend. (For all those with children I'm sure you understand that "If it doesn't rain, it pours!?!") So here is one that my 6 year old son was quite happy to take along as part of his gift.
Thankfully I was a little prepared and had watercoloured the map for another card at the same time as a week later the same son had a "pirate's party" to go to. This time he wanted the ship, not the pirate as the feature. It doesn't grab me as much but that might be more due to the choice of materials rather than the images. Regardless of my critical opinon both my son and his friends enjoyed their cards.
So what do you think? Arrrrrrgggghhh you a pirate lover or a lover of the pirate's ship? ;o)

Hmmm...I think that I like the pirate on this layout but both cards look wonderful. Great watercolor job!...I'm trying to embrace the coloring craze but it's not my strong point.
Hey, Nardi - good to see you blogging again. I'm drawn to people so if I HAD to choose, I would choose the pirate card. The ship one is good too though :) you can't really go wrong with SU! stamps!

I love the little pirate, I would so like my little grandson to have a pirate party so I can scraplift some of your ideas - he is only 14 months, so maybe next year.........!
I have to admit - I am looking forward to my eldest son's 7th borthday next year as I am planning a pirate party. (I have already started planting the seeds with him for this theme. Not too hard once he has seen this set and has heard some of my plans for the party. ;o) I LOVE planning kids partiues and cakes!!!)
Missed U MUCH, Nardi! I love them both, but the pirate one grabs me a hair quicker. Both are great cards.
I love these cards! I love the pirate and the ship but really and truly my favourite is the watercour map as a background :) I love them both!
